“The client(s)” shall be those persons defined in the booking form. In the following terms & conditions “the photographer” shall mean any member of staff from Iris Gallery. It is mutually agreed that the following terms of agreement form an integral part of this contract and cannot be varied in any way by the client(s) unless such conditions are expressly agreed by the photographer in writing. By booking with the photographer you agree to the below Terms and Conditions.
All copyright of photographic images belongs to the studio (Iris Gallery).
The client(s) hereby allow(s) the photographer to display any photographic images covered by this contract and to generally promote the business in advertising, brochures, magazine articles, calendars, websites, photo competitions, commercial photography,..etc.
When uploading your images on the web (Social Media) you will be required to only use the small resolution digital image with logo. You are not permitted to remove the logo or edit the images (changing colours, or removing part of the image). High resolution images (JPEG) without logo are for print only use. You cannot enter any of your images in competition (online or otherwise). Prints – When purchasing prints, you cannot scan the print into another print or a digital image. You can purchase the digital images separately.
Your session will take place at the address that you provided, and will be scheduled for the amount of time selected when booking your appointment/session. You have to be over 18 years old to book a session/shoot at our studio. If you receive a gift voucher and you are under 18 years old, you need to bring a parent with you.
Session/Shoot fee: Full payment is required at the time of booking, the appointment can be changed up to 5 working days before the Iris shoot session. We include a small web file (simple iris) with our logo, not suitable for printing.
Booking fees/Shoot Fee are nontransferable and nonrefundable. No show: If for any reason after receiving your confirmation, you fail to attend your Iris shoot (or do not give enough notice), you will lose your full booking fees (and any complementary products/print credits). You are entitled to a maximum of one appointment change (up to 5 working days before your appointment) after which you will lose your booking fees.
Products: Products are payable during iris shoot session (Card / Cash / Paypal Credit/ Paypal pay in 3). Once your payment for your order has been made, it cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded. Please note editing work on your order will start once your payment has cleared.
Products will be posted to you within a reasonable timescale (Approximately 1 week in “normal time” but up to 2 weeks near Christmas time). You are not entitled to a refund of the iris shoot session if you do not wish to purchase any images. Payment plans cannot be cancelled.
For your artwork, we provide a proof (by email) for you to approve before we send it for printing. Mainly to confirm that it’s the same design as what has been decided during your iris session including small changes not for changing your mind about your order. The contract is agreed when the payment for your order was made. You are entitled to one free revision. Additional changes or a complete change (for example, you want us to change the position of the iris from what you original decided or change the editing style, etc) would be charge at £40/hour. Please note that any revision will affect the timescale for you to receive your products. If it take you longer than 8 working days to approve your artwork, we will assume that you are happy with it and we will process the order.
We use flash photography to take the macro images of the iris. Anyone sensitive to flashing lights should not book (Photosensitive epilepsy, etc) an iris shoot. We are not responsible for any issue that occurs regarding the use of flashing lights.
We recommend that only children of 5 years old can attend and Iris shoot. However, as our system is safe for children, photography before the age of 5 is possible if the child manages to stay still and stare at the camera. We are not responsible if a child doesn’t comply and cannot offer any refunds if we are unable to produce an iris image for that type of situation.
Prices for our products and services are subject to changes without notice.
If the appointment has to be cancelled by Iris Gallery due to adverse weather conditions/equipment failure/staff illnesses a new, mutually agreed appointment will be made with no additional charge. If it’s not possible for you to make another appointment, we would refund your session fee (if booked directly with us, contact third party if you have purchased a gift voucher from somewhere else). We will not reimburse any other personal costs (travel, hotel – please check your travel insurance for this).
When the client purchase digital files the client is responsible to keep them safe and to make duplicates. Any request for additional digital image duplicates from the photographer will incur additional charges. Digital files are provided as JPEG only, edited in our style.
Iris Gallery will keep your images on file for at least six months after which your images may be deleted. If Art Photography has to cancel the appointment for reasons beyond their control (death, injury, sickness, etc.), their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. In the event of any situation out of our control (corona virus, storm, fire, etc) we will postpone the sessions and reschedule once our doors reopen.
